Annual Campaign
The Annual Giving Fund for our non-profit organization is crucial for supporting a diverse range of impactful programs aimed at fostering community development and empowerment. Contributions will directly fund the World Scholars Program, which enhances educational opportunities, and the ITAV Juneteenth Village festival, celebrating cultural heritage. Additionally, the fund will support Giving Tuesday initiatives, grassroots campaigns, and efforts to engage families and the community effectively. Essential programs like Early Childhood Centers and Workforce Development will also benefit, ensuring that we provide quality early education and job readiness training. Overall, the Annual Giving Fund plays a vital role in sustaining our general operating budget and enabling us to fulfill our mission of building a stronger, more inclusive community.
Capital Campaign
The VLA campus enhancement project is advancing with Phase II, which introduces a 12,000 square-foot Early Learning Center for 120 children from birth to age 5, strategically located along Cottage Grove. This facility will serve as a vital community resource, featuring spaces for parent education, training for early childhood educators, and abundant natural light, along with indoor gross motor rooms and engaging outdoor play areas. To improve accessibility, a new parking area will be added off 50th Street. Phase III will complete ITAV’s vision by constructing a four-story high school aimed at fostering academic and personal growth, featuring modern curriculum spaces, an adjacent aquatic center for physical education, and upgraded athletic facilities. A tranquil sunken courtyard will provide outdoor learning and reflection areas, ensuring a cohesive and engaging environment that supports a comprehensive educational experience for students from birth through 12th grade.
