HELP US REACH OUR $100,000 GOAL!

This Giving Tuesday, join us in the creation of two Social Justice Libraries at It Takes A Village Leadership Academy’s Bronzeville and South Loop campuses. These libraries will empower students by giving them access to resources that promote equity, justice, and a holistic educational experience. The initiative is rooted in the belief that “Reading is My Revolution!” and aims to inspire the next generation of change-makers.

WHY DONATE?

In an era where access to diverse voices and justice-oriented literature is increasingly challenged, ITAV is committed to providing students with a platform to explore themes of equity and justice through books. The Social Justice Libraries will be filled with carefully curated resources that promote critical thinking, inclusion, and advocacy for social justice. These libraries are a crucial step toward ensuring that students can read, reflect, and lead in creating a more just society.

“Books, articles, and stories can introduce you to different viewpoints and experiences. This helps you understand how social change affects various groups of people. Reading about history can show you how social changes have happened over time. This can make you more aware of the challenges others face and the importance of social change.”

– Steven, ITAV LA Student
