Chicago Explorers Summer Camp: The World is Our Classroom!

Registration has opened for the 2024 Chicago Explorers Summer Camp, The City is Our Classroom. Kindergarten through 8th grade participants will experience Chicago’s history, vibrant art, architecture, music, and culture through experiential learning and high-engagement activities both indoors and outdoors.

The City is Our Classroom activities include S.T.E.M., coding and graphic design, hip-hop, Afro-Caribbean and contemporary dance, Chicago-themed art projects, reading and math enrichment, karate and other physical activities, and weekly field experiences.

Chicago Explorers Summer Camp will be held at Village Leadership Academy, located inside the River City Building (800 S. Wells St, Ste 90, Chicago, IL 60607). The camp will run for seven weeks (Monday, June 24th – Friday, August 9th), weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost is $200 per week or $1,250 for the entire seven-week camp if paid in full by Friday, June 23. There is a required $150 registration fee for all camp participants–camp confirmation will be received upon payment. Applications can be accessed HERE.
