FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —

February 26, 2024

It Takes A Village (ITAV), a leading provider of high-quality early childhood education and a dedicated advocate for social justice in education, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its fourth childcare center, located at 1020 S. Wabash Avenue in Chicago. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on February 26, 2024, marking an exciting milestone for the organization and the local community. ITAV’s founders, leadership team, and esteemed local and state politicians were present, including Representative Kimberly du Buclet and Senator Mattie Hunter.

The Wabash location is designed to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners, from infants to preschoolers, in line with ITAV’s commitment to fostering holistic child development. ITAV offers early intervention services, and their curriculums include The Creative Curriculum, Baby Signs, and Engage NY for Math.

Through their Social Justice Curriculum, they provide children with opportunities to see not only themselves but also other people, cultures, perspectives, and ideas. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, and diversity this center will provide educational excellence and community engagement.

ITAV will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies for their fifth and sixth locations opening this summer in Oak Park, and the Austin neighborhood.
